This definitely was not what I thought it was or what wanted. It was a very large commercial type unit. It was damaged in the carton. The carton was not damaged but the air pot and the filling pitcher were both badly damaged. However, the seller was more than generous allowing me to keep the unit and also giving me a full refund. I donated it to a very needy charity as I could not use it. They had other air pots that they could use with it.
This is a large, tall unit suitable for commercial installations. However, it's certainly useful in a home setting. It's a 'pour-over' unit -- you pour water into it from a pitcher (i.e., it doesn't need to be directly plumbed to a water supply), and it brews ~13 cups at a time. If you drink a fair amount of coffee (e.g., have three or more coffee drinkers), that's not too much ... and the airpot keeps the coffee hot for many hours. Additionally, if you have two or more airpots, you can have one caff & one decaf (which is what I do in my household of several coffee drinkers, where some are decaf-only). It /will not/ fit under cabinets, however.
